Trexel, Inc. is located approximately 15 miles north of Boston, in Woburn, Massachusetts, in an industrial park near the intersection of Interstate Highways 93 and 95/128. In addition to housing the offices of Trexel's management and technical staff, the company's facilities include a 15,000-square-foot product development laboratory.
The product development laboratory is complete with injection molding and extrusion apparatus, including dryers, downstream equipment, resin storage, and other auxiliary processing equipment. The laboratory is supplemented by a materials test facility for measuring the structure and performance of MuCell® microcellular foam materials.
Trexel operates a MuCell microcellular foam extrusion line in either single or tandem mode, at output rates up to 200 pounds/hour.

Trexel's process and materials test laboratory includes a state-of-the-art scanning electron microscope, in addition to Instron test equipment, for analyzing mechanical properties, such as tensile, compressive, and flexural strengths.
