Implementing MuCell for Injection Molding

Once you have decided the MuCell Process should be applied to your products, you will have at least three implementation options available to you:

• Contact existing MuCell Molder for a production quote.  Trexel can make available to you a list of molders in North America, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, or Europe that have equipment or would be willing to acquire equipment to produce your MuCell Products.
• If you want to produce your own products or if you are working with a molder who will produce your products, you have two options available to you.

• Purchase of a new OEM MuCell Injection Molding Machine.  Trexel has licensed most of the leading injection molding equipment suppliers to produce and sell fully integrated MuCell Machines.  The list of authorized suppliers is shown below. 

• Upgrade of an existing molding machine.  Trexel offers a MuCell Modular Upgrade (MMU) which allows our customers to upgrade nearly any existing molding machine to MuCell capability.  The upgrade is performed on site and requires no more than 5 days for completion.

Additional Equipment

Whether you have decided to purchase a new OEM MuCell Machine or to install an MMU, you will need to purchase the auxiliary hardware from Trexel.  This includes the Trexel SCF System (2 sizes and satellite model) and the MuCell Interface Kit.
